I am Chef Selma Araujo, and my passion for Brazilian cuisine is a lifelong journey, deeply rooted in my family’s love of cooking. With a mother of Italian descent, I grew up watching her knead dough for bread and pasta, while my father made bolinhos de chuva, a beloved Brazilian delicacy. My middle sister, to whom I owe much of my culinary experience, taught me the art of creating incredible artisanal coxinha dumplings, shaping them one by one with care. These early artisanal experiences taught me that food is an act of love—a philosophy that guides everything I do in the kitchen.
Since 2003, I have been blending the rich culinary traditions of Italy with the bold flavors of Brazil, creating dishes that go beyond the traditional pão de queijo. My menus are full of exotic combinations, vibrant colors, and unique textures, many made with ingredients sourced directly from Brazilian soil.
Professionally, I have worked at events with over 5,000 guests, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience along the way. I also offer consulting services to standardize menus and restaurant operations, helping businesses achieve consistent quality.
